In my time as a public servant, I've worked under a few Prime Ministers. I can't say I particularly loved any as individuals - I'm just not that into party politics - and I've disagreed vehemently with plenty. But I can say this.
Number of Prime Ministers who were lazy? Nil.
Number of Prime Ministers who didn't take the job seriously? Nil.
Number of Prime Ministers who were too silly to understand the issues? Nil.
Number of Prime Ministers who didn't in some way want to serve Aotearoa? Nil.
Number of Prime Ministers exposed to relentless misogyny, no matter how hard they worked, how seriously they took the job, how well they understood the issues, or how much they wanted to serve Aotearoa?
